Whew!
Right, two days in the making, and several hours on the phone to customer service, and my Reading Tickets have been confirmed.
I have never had so much grief trying to purchase tickets online, needless to say, all the ticket sites used by reading have serious issues with their server capacities!
Anyway...enough of my whining...the lineup has now been released, and I will be posting information and links for each band in due course.

Tickets!
Less than two hours to go before the release of tickets, and that familiar nervous feeling is arising...
Good luck to all who are aiming to purchase tckets this evening, and good luck to myself as well!
For those of us unlucky enough to get tickets through the usual means, check out:
www.viagogo.com
This is a fantastic site for the legitimate reselling of tickets between fans.
Update later on whether ticket aquiring is a success!

HMV Ticket Update
Just and update for those of you hoping to buy your tickets in person at HMV, the official Reading Festival Website lists these as the HMV Stores offering tickets:
High Wycombe, Newbury, Oxford, Portsmouth, Reading Oracle*, Reading Friar, Southampton, Staines, Swindon and Winchester.
*Only Reading Oracle HMV will be selling day tickets.
Tickets at HMV Stores will be going on sale at 7pm on Monday 30th March 2009. Please not that in previous years they offered tickets the day after online ticket sales, this is not the case this year.
Just under a week to go before the general release of tckets, so scrape together your money, and jump online, on the phone, or down to a participating HMV!

Buying Tickets!
Have just realised how close the release date for tickets is, less than 3 weeks now!
Tickets will be released at 7pm on Monday 30th March 2009
For myself, saving money for Reading Rock Festival is a mammoth task, as they aren't exactly cheap. However, saying that, it looks like this year I will have money available on time...just about.
I expect tickets to sell out extremely fast as usual, so the day is booked off just for this purpose. Every means at my disposal will be bent towards purchasing these tickets.
Here's a tip for all you Festival goers out there, buy tickets when you have the first chance (usually available during the festival are discounted tickets for next year). You may not know the lineup yet, but its pretty much always amazing!
This saves the inevitable hassle of raising the money on a deadline. Not to mention spending heart stopping moments whacking the refresh button on your browsing, praying they haven't sold out, or that the server hasn't locked up!
For anyone new to festivals, beware the ticket touts, your spending a hell of a lot of money, so use the official ticket vendors, for peace of mind and wallet. Links are at the end of the post.
All that being said, I'm optomistic this year is going to be my most organised Reading Festival yet, and therefore the most relaxed.
I'll be leaving various posts over the next few weeks and months, hopefully helping everyone enjoy a fanstatic festival.
